More than 30 million pairs of shoes have been distributed in 127 countries and all 50 US states since Soles4Souls began in 2006. Every single one of those pair of shoes makes a difference in people’s lives. Home to 9.7 million people, Haiti is the poorest and most densely populated country in the Western Hemisphere. In response to the 2010 earthquake, Haiti became the first established Soles4Souls destination outside of the US and continues to be their most frequented country. The Brothers of Rho Xi Chapter decided to make a difference, rather than give in to indifference. As a result, the brothers solicited shoes from the local community and the Brotherhood to help the poverty-stricken country of Haiti. Rho Xi Chapter helped collect over 700 pairs of shoes to donate to orphanages in Haiti. The shoes were shipped to Haiti on November 6, 2016. The third world country is still in need years after the earthquake.
