The winter season can bring about cold and harsh realities for those who depend on others for necessities like clothes, food and shelter. With the constant commitment to those less fortunate, The Brothers of Rho Xi Chapter wanted to ensure that the homeless and elderly communities were warm during the winter season in Houston, TX. On Sunday, December 18, 2016, Rho Xi Chapter was blessed to be able to purchase wool socks, 90 blankets and 60 afghan blankets for $2,200. The Brothers of Rho Xi Chapter began their Sunday morning by delivering blankets to members of the homeless community. After handing out 90 blankets to the homeless community, Brothers turned their sights to the elderly at Anna Dupree Terrace Senior Living Community in Houston, TX. All 60 afghan blankets and wool socks were hand delivered to residents in need at the facility. The manager and the residents of the Anna Dupree Terrace Senior Living Community, as well as the homeless community were very thankful and looked forward to seeing the Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
